I have been a Petaluma resident for over 40 years. I have two children who matriculated through Petaluma City Schools–my son graduated from Petaluma High School, and my daughter from Valley Oaks. I have two grandchildren-one at McNear Elementary School, and one at Petaluma Junior High. I have been married for 40 years to my wonderful husband.
I have always been involved in education: I taught high school for 28 years, I have an administrative credential, I was my union president, and participated in several contract negotiations. Currently, I work for ETS as an ELPAC administrator, trainer, and rater.
As a high school English and drama teacher, I directed over 20 student productions, took students to Washington DC through the Close-Up program for 22 years, and brought AP English to Tomales High School at the behest of my students.
I am also a proud incumbent of the Petaluma City School Board of Education; I have been board president for the past two years. It has been an honor to serve on this board. I work with amazing and talented people. PCS has incredible students and an impressively dedicated staff, and I consider it an honor to be part of this district.
